Hi, I’m Jeremy. I love the outdoors, snowboarding, gardening and building things that I could have just bought, because where would the fun be in that?

I grew up in Southern California in the seventies, the youngest of three with a loving single mom. My mom became one of those “Jesus People” when I was just a little boy and sat under Chuck Smith, meeting in a tent and having church with a bunch of barefoot hippies. When I was five we were part of a Calvary Chapel church plant in the city of Downey led by Jeff Johnson. Today Calvary Downey is a thriving voice of Jesus in the community with nearly 8,000 believers being served and equipped each week. I became a Jesus follower at an early age while at Calvary of Downey and grew up participating in the youth group, as well as venturing several times to an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico.

After marrying my beautiful wife Michele, we started attending  another Calvary Chapel closer to home. One day the youth pastor there told me in so many words “Jeremy… you need to stop sitting around and start using your gifts for the kingdom.” So, Michele and I spent the next 17 years actively involved in high school youth ministry. In 2006, pastor Steve Folgheraiter and I co-founded miletwo::church with a calling to reach the unchurched, underchurched, and those who have been hurt by the church. They are still growing and I continue to participate with them in teaching and missions planning; extending the vision to reach emerging generations for Christ.

We are dad and mom to Josh and Nick, our two awesome sons. We’re still a little bit “California” and demonstrate that by dining on sushi, hiding from the rain, and calling the coast the “beach.” We’re honored to be a part of the Grace community and eager to see His vision unfold as we labor together in building.

Potential Elder Bio -Bill

delambert family Meet the Elder Candidates

Family includes: 4 older step children (Adam 29, Luke 27, Zac 22, Sarah 18),
twin boys (Jesse & Jacob 6)
4 grandchildren (Maci 4, Issac 3, Caleb 1, Malachi 1), and two cats in a pear tree…

I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California, along with my 2 older brothers Mike & Bob.  I graduated from Cardinal Newman Catholic High School in 1985.  After high school, I attended UC Davis, graduating with a degree in Sociology. Tennis was a large part of my life.  I both played and taught tennis for many years.  In terms of my business career, I would have to say that I’ve been an entrepreneur all my life.  I started my first software services company in 1993 followed by a software development company in 1996.  Today I enjoy owning a real estate and mortgage brokerage company.

In terms of my spiritual background, I was raised Catholic. I first came to know the Lord on a personal level in 1996.  I was baptized in Pleasanton, California in 2000.  I was encouraged & supported through my spiritual journey by my wife, Rebecca, whom I’ve been married to for 12 years.  Her huge heart for Jesus has been an ongoing inspiration to me.

We moved from California to Oregon in 2002, and were introduced to Grace Community Church by Rick and Debbie Seymour.  Grace became our home church in 2002.

In 2007, a significant change took place in my spiritual journey, a change that is hard to explain in words.  God created a need in my heart to seek a deeper commitment to Jesus, a deeper understanding of the word, and a stronger connection with other men. In 2007, Russ Bartels and I reignited men’s ministry at Grace, with a real passion and desire to build new relationships and become the spiritual leaders in our family.

Today, I am actively involved in the leadership of Grace, men’s ministry, financial growth team, assimilation and communication team, and teaching in my children’s1st grade KIDMO class.  It has been a pleasure working with the staff, ministry leaders, and other members toward one goal, Jesus.

In conclusion, it’s an honor to be considered to serve the Lord and Grace in the capacity of an elder.  My prayer is for every person at Grace to share in the joy and life transformation that can take place when Jesus comes into your heart, it happened to me, it can happen to all.
