GENEROSITY…CREATES PROBLEMS

We just finished a mini-series at Grace on generosity…and you are responding in so many amazing ways.  Here’s one example:

“Pastor Jay, I wanted to tell you that my husband and I started praying for additional money so we could bless others.  We had never really heard it put quite that way, but of course, it makes sense….and I could also tell you many times when a check came in the mail just in the nick of time, etc….God is so good!  But here’s what just happened to me….

I watch a neighbor’s boy before school every day and Wednesdays after school.  She called Tuesday and needs me this week after school 2 extra days.  Now, I know it’s only an additional $20 for those two days, but come on, it’s not random!!!!  God is good.  He always provides.  PERIOD.

Now, where will that $20 go?  I don’t want to just spend it.  I truly believe, even though it’s a small amount, that the Lord blessed me with that so I can bless others.  What should I do with it?”

What a great problem to have!  When you ask God to bless you so you can bless others it will create problems…when He provides WHO do you GIVE it to?  Who can you TELL about what He’s done? When do you GET the next OPPORTUNITY To give and BLESS another?
