The Missions Team meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 7:00 – 8:30 pm in Room 3. The First Tuesday is our Mission Vision & Development Team and the Second Tuesday Meeting is our Missionary Care Team. If you have an interest in being involved in this ministry, please give Dave Vawser a call at 503-491-9191.
We have the privilege of sending out a number of missionaries who work on our behalf to reach the world. Each of our missionaries and their ministries are an extension of our local body to people in different cultures. Since the missionaries are not physically present with us on a regular basis, it is important that we make a special effort to maintain our relationship and to encourage them in their life and ministry.
- Asher Sarjent: Asher & Pam Sarjent are missionaries with DELTA Ministries International, a short-term mission agency, and they minister out of the headquarters in Portland, OR. Asher is the Director of Mission Operations and oversees the Short-Term Missions Department and helps shares in the vision of the ministry as part of the management team, while Pam is a Teams Assistant, working with DELTA’s Area Director. DELTA assists local churches in sending short-term mission teams as well as helps to fascinate large scale evangelistic outreaches. The Sarjents have been members at Grace for the last seven years.

- Burgin’s: Ron and Jeanie Burgin serve with their son Andrew in Bolivia. Ron is the South America JESUS Film distribution representative and Chief Financial Officer for Campus Crusade for Christ, South America. Using the JESUS Film and other media tools, Campus Crusade is encouraging church planting movements throughout the continent. Ron and Jeanie have a direct personal ministry as well with university students in Santa Cruz.

- Mark is working with ViBi in Japanese Sign Language Bible translation, and Mary Esther is working in compassion ministries and Japan field member care.

- Alexander’s PRAY for our daily walk to be honoring to God with His strength, wisdom, guidance, and insight. We feel a desperate need of His empowerment.

- Davis’s Pray for Mel and Patty Davis in Slovenija as they minister there. Pray for the new work among the gypsies that the Lord will continue to move among them and many will come to the Lord. Pray for a larger meeting place for this ministry.
