Bolivia Mission Trip ’10

The Opportunity

The team will be involved in a wide range of activities which will help start a new church.

The week begins with fellowship time and training with a group of Bolivian volunteers. Your team will learn a simple presentation of the Gospel that they can share with the help of the Bolivian students.

Construction – Work with local craftsmen to build the church structure.  Your team will prepare the floor of the new building. Professional Bolivian builders will be erecting the tin-roof structure (the “tinglado”) overhead.

JESUS Film – The team will go to area neighborhoods to show the JESUS film. The team members will share their own story of knowing Jesus (with translation). It will be an opportunity to see dozens, if not hundreds of people put their faith in Jesus.

Activities for Children – Reach out to Bolivian children using a puppet program and other activities. We will take a puppet stage and puppets that will be donated when we leave.   This is also a good outreach for their parents.

Creative Neighborhood Evangelism – Other opportunities are possible depending upon the gifting of the team members.  This could involve professional seminars, musical performances, or anything creative that demonstrates the gospel.

The Cost

Expenses should be approx. $ 2,200 which includes; airfare, on-field expenses, secondary overseas insurance, project costs, DELTA Training and curriculum, etc.

In addition, the team will raise $6,000 to fund the structure materials, pay for JESUS film equipment, and contribute to the annual support of the JESUS Film project worker who in turn will go on to help plant more churches.

Application Process

  • Applications are due by February 14, 2010. The team is limited to 15 team members and applications will be processed based on acceptance criteria and a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • All interested individuals should complete an Application Form and submit a $100 deposit at the time the application is submitted (this will be applied to your trip or refunded if not accepted on the team).
  • There may special restrictions for members under 18, such as accompanied by a parent or responsible adult, other than the team leader.
