Online Giving

Hi Gracers,

The Grace Community Church web team is always looking for ways to support our offline programs with online versions whenever possible. One of the features that other churches have is online giving which would allow you to pay tithes and offerings with credit or debit cards. We wanted to take a minute to let you know what we’re doing about that now and in the future.

First, online payment processors like PayPal and others take a fee from every transaction. For every $100 we might accept online we would end up only taking in about $97. That might seem like only a small price to pay for the convenience but over the course of a year this could add up to hundreds or possibly into the thousands of dollars. We’re just not ready to give away that kind of money that would otherwise be used for our ongoing missions.

Second, especially in this day and age, we’re concerned about creating the opportunity for anyone to enslave themselves with debt by using a credit card to make donations to Grace. Until there is a way for us to ensure that only debit cards were used we’re just not going to enable this kind of a trap.

Finally, if you know that you will be unable to make your normally scheduled offering and wish to have us process one for you electronically, we can do still that for you manually using ACH. This is a service that is provided by our bank which allows us to make either scheduled or one-time payments from your bank to ours at  NO CHARGE!
